ERIC TSE - OBITUARY
It is with great regret that Dasing Shoes Ltd announces the loss
of its founder Eric Tse, who passed away on November 7th 2006 in
Hong Kong after a long and courageously-fought battle against
cancer.
Much admired and
liked by his colleagues and many in the footwear industry around
the Globe, Eric was tireless in the development of Dasing with
his partner David Brook, who takes over the management of the
company forthwith.
Born in Hong Kong in 1956, Eric proved his capabilities early on
in life, attaining a good education by merit resulting in entry
to the island's prestigious Polytechnic.
Eric launched his career in International trading and by 1984
was a Director of ISA HK (a subsidiary of the UK's second
largest multiple footwear importer), a position he held until
1990 when he emigrated to Toronto, Canada for nine years to run
his own wholesaler of baby footwear.
Eric returned to HK and set up the HK arm of London footwear
importer Browning Enterprises which he ran for four years before
launching Dasing Shoes Ltd.
David Brook said: "All associated with Dasing have sustained an
enormous loss in Eric's death. We shall honour his wishes in
forging on with our plans for the company and I am very pleased
that Eric's wife, Catherine, will continue to play a role in its
development. Eric's optimism will shine through all we intend to
do for the future.''
